 WHAT IS HOLI?

Holi is the festival of joy and happiness. Where there is no discrimination between own people and strangers. All are the same and as much ours as our family members. This festival is celebrated from the last many decades, for symbolizing the victory of good over bad, for starting a new and good life and hence symbolizing the arrival of spring.

The festival is celebrated in almost every part of India and nowadays it is celebrated in other countries also. And some people just play with colors and water on the day of dhulandi and in the evening they wear new clothes and put abeer in respect to show their love and affection.

HOLI IN DIFFERENT WAY- LATHMAR HOLI

Lathmar holi is a special holi which is associated with radha. When Krishna went to Radha's hometown barsana then he threw colors on radha and then radha and other gopiyas beat Krishna and his companion with a stick and made them run away from their town. Similarly in southern parts india holi is played differently and at several places it is known as humpi.
